Clematis - Fireworks
Clematis - Fireworks Clematis Fireworks, Clematis 'Fireworks', explodes into color with beautiful 8 bluish purple flowers with glowing cerise central bars. The petals have a slight twist to them and are slightly recurved at the tips. This clematis will rebloom again in late summer with smaller 6 flowers. An outstanding variety with a vigorous growth habit, this clematis is best grown in a protected area to prevent wind damage to the very large flowers. ‘Fireworks’ was Awarded Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Merit. Clematis 'Fireworks' needs a supporting structure to grow properly but will also grow over large shrubs, over walls, cover stumps, and make perfect cover ups for unsightly service areas. Clematis is easy to grow in a rich, porous, alkaline soil with plenty of room for the roots to spread. Best performance is when the tops are in full sunlight and the roots are shaded, so apply generous mulch or a shallow-rooted ground cover near the base of the vine. Groom this plant after first flowering by cutting back the top one-third to one-half of some stems. Clematis ‘Fireworks’ is a very reliable performer once established; it takes a season or two to get going! * Reliable * Vibrant color * Vigorous

Coneflower - Firebird - Sale Price: $39.95 Echinacea Firebird (Coneflower), Echinacea 'Firebird', displays stunning red-orange petals that fall below the beautiful dark cones. These beautiful flocks of colored flowers grow on sturdy stems. Firebird produces long lasting flowers that attract butterflies and hummingbirds; makes gorgeous flower arrangements too! 'Firebird' provides a season-long colorful display of daisy-like flowers and will bring a brilliant display of brilliant red orange colors to a sunny location. Divide clumps when they become overcrowded (about every 4 years). 'Firebird' usually reblooms without deadheading, but if spent flowers are removed, this procedure will encourage continued beautiful blooms and improves general appearance. Coneflowers are used as accent plants or in mixed borders, open woodlands, and mass plantings. This plant is deer resistant. If you leave some spent blooms on the plants in fall their seeds provide winter food for birds. You can enjoy the dried seed heads as well, because they will provide architectural interest in the winter. | Hosta - Guardian Angel - Sale Price: $42.75 Hosta Guardian Angel, Hosta 'Guardian Angel', is a sport of 'Blue Angel’. This hosta has large blue-green leaves that put on a show in early spring by displaying white centers. As the plant matures, it tends to keep its white centers longer into the spring season. 'Guardian Angel' is quite unique because it offers this unusual color patterning: in the spring, the center of each new leaf is bright white, while the margins are cool blue! This is the just the opposite of normal hosta leaf patterns. By late spring, a distinctive green misting covers the white centers, and in midsummer, clusters of light lavender flowers are produced. Hosta 'Guardian Angel' has been chosen as a Popularity Poll winning specimen! This attractive sport of Hosta 'Blue Angel' can be somewhat slow growing, but will make a large mound when mature. 'Guardian Angel' is a low care perennial and is ideal for shady positions, tubs and patio pots, and one of the most popular landscape uses. It is best to keep areas around hostas clear of excess leaf debris to reduce the presence of slugs and snails. It grows well in moist, well-drained, highly organic soils with a pH between 5.5 and 7.5. Sandy loam is better than clay because it provides more aeration for the roots. Plant 'Guardian Angel' in an area that receives the right amount of light. The leaves need some morning sun to bring the rich golden color out; too much sun will burn the leaves. 'Guardian Angel’ is a vigorous grower, a good sized hosta, and has a plump, symmetrical habit! * Unique patterning * Slow grower * Mounded habit |

The flower heads are 4” wide, with a spread of 18-24” and a height of 24”. ‘Moonshine’ Yarrow is a great addition to a sunny perennial border, planted in pots or combined with ornamental grasses. ‘Moonshine’ can tolerate poor soil conditions, but does best in lean, dry to medium wet, well-drained soil. (Avoid heavy clays and moist, rich, fertile soils.) Yarrow should be planted in full sun and is tolerant to hot humid summers. Use this plant in borders, as cut and dried flowers, and in containers. Remove faded flowers to encourage more growth and divide every 3-4 years.
