Peony - Sea Shell - Sale Price: $42.75 The Sea Shell Peony, Paeonia 'Sea Shell', is a mid-season bloomer with large, single flowers of bright pink that has a center of yellow stamens. This encourages new growth for possible summer bloom. Clematis 'Rhapsody' needs a supporting structure to grow properly.  Clematis is easy to grow in a rich, porous, alkaline soil with plenty of room for the roots to spread. Best performance is when the tops are in full sunlight and the roots are shaded, so apply generous mulch or a shallow-rooted ground cover near the base of the vine. Very reliable performer once established and takes a season or two to get going! Grass - Pumila Dwarf Pampas - Sale Price: $64.25 Pumila Dwarf Pampas Grass, Cortaderia selloana 'Pumila', is probably one of the most impressive perennials we grow! 'Pumila' is a dwarf pampas grass with huge 18 inch feathery white plumes. The showy, silvery-cream plumes feel silky to the touch and are perfect for use in dried arrangements.  Cortaderia 'Pumila' is a very good grower and much more cold hardy than the species. 'Pumila' thrives in hot, full sun exposures and is especially useful as a specimen along walls and in corners. Plant it in moderately fertile soil with good drainage. Leave standing over the winter before cutting it back hard in early-spring. 'Pumila' is sterile and won’t re-seed itself. Protect crowns of young plants in winter. After this plant is established it can be divided in the spring. Use this plant as a border, mass plantings, dried flowers, for edging, and as a specimen. Beautiful and it is deer resistant!

Dianthus - Fire Star - Sale Price: $39.95 The Dianthus Fire Star, Dianthus 'Fire Star' (PPAF), has vibrant red flowers with a dark red eye.  The flowers provide a striking contrast as they appear on evergreen, glaucous grey-green foliage; the foliage gives off a spicy scent of cloves!   The red flowers with a deeper crimson eye appear on stems rising slightly above the foliage mound to 8” tall; flowers bloom 3-5 per stem.  Flowering may continue sporadically throughout the summer. This plant blooms the best in the early summer, however, it will rebloom in the fall if deadheaded.  It is a favorite as a border plant or in rock gardens. 'Fire Star' needs a sunny site with well-drained soil, but will tolerate some shade in the afternoon along with humidity.  Regular watering during prolonged dry spells will be necessary.  However, this plant is tolerant of short periods of dryness.
