Clematis - Rhapsody
Clematis - Rhapsody Clematis Rhapsody, Clematis 'Rhapsody', is an outstanding cultivar with broad, pointed, dark indigo-blue flowers. As the 5 flowers mature the color becomes even more intense. Very free flowering and one of our favorites! Compact grower; great for containers, balconies and small gardens. Groom this clematis after flowering by cutting back the top one-third to one-half of some stems. This encourages new growth for possible summer bloom. Clematis 'Rhapsody' needs a supporting structure to grow properly. Clematis is easy to grow in a rich, porous, alkaline soil with plenty of room for the roots to spread. Best performance is when the tops are in full sunlight and the roots are shaded, so apply generous mulch or a shallow-rooted ground cover near the base of the vine. Very reliable performer once established and takes a season or two to get going! Plant 'Rhapsody' in a container in a place where everyone can enjoy its dark indigo-blue flowers all season long! * Reliable * Intense color * Compact grower
