Clematis - The President
Clematis The President, Clematis 'The President', is a very popular cultivar with rich, purple-blue flowers; a very striking color! The large 7 flowers have a somewhat cupped shape with silvery undersides and striking dark red anthers. It reblooms in late summer to early fall. Clematis 'The President’ needs a supporting structure to grow properly and it is easy to grow with a rich, porous, alkaline soil that has plenty of room for the roots to spread.   Best performance is when the tops are in full sunlight and the roots are shaded, but will thrive and bloom in shade. Apply generous mulch or a shallow-rooted ground cover near the base of the vine.  Very reliable performers once established; they take a season or two. Plant this hardy, compact and free-flowering clematis for a burst of color in early fall; especially noticed while other plants begin to lose their luster! * Hardy * Reliable * Striking purple flowers

The Daylily Stella Supreme, 'Hemerocallis 'Stella Supreme', is a durable perennial with its grass-like leaves that produces showy clusters of lemon-chiffon yellow lily-like blooms on tall stems. The flowers appear in late spring/early summer and continue until frost.  It grows 14 inches tall and it is very effective when planted in drifts! The ‘Stella Supreme’ daylily does not require deadheading, pruning or pinching.  This plant will also attract hummingbirds as well as butterflies; prefers full sun and soil with good drainage. This daylily is wonderful for small places, such as containers on patios or the small garden.  Planted together in large numbers, they quickly crowd out weeds and make a carefree and colorful ground cover. Daylilies can survive many harsh conditions that other plants cannot including: polluted city environments, slopes, poor and dry soils, near pavement that is salted in winter, and under Black Walnut trees (not affected by juglone). Hosta - Journey's End - DetailsHosta - Journey's End - Sale Price: $42.75
Hosta Journey's End, Hosta 'Journey's End' (PP#16,895), is an impressive sport of Hosta 'Choo Choo Train' that grows to a whopping 6' wide clump! The large, yellow-gold leaves have ruffled, dark green edges with multiple shades of green.  The oval shape of the slightly textured leaves give this plant added interest.  Its exquisite leaf form and good substance make 'Journey's End' a garden must! Pale lavender, nearly white, tubular flowers bloom in June and July. 'Journey's End' is a low care perennial and is ideal for shady positions, and is one of the most popular for landscapes.  It is best to keep areas around Hostas clear of excess leaf debris to reduce the presence of slugs and snails. It grows well in moist, well-drained, highly organic soils with a pH between 5.5 and 7.5.  Sandy loam is better than clay because it provides more aeration for the roots. Plant 'Journey's End' in an area that receives the right amount of light.  The leaves need some morning sun to bring the rich color out; too much sun will burn the leaves.  This is a beautiful upright Hosta plant with great colors. 'Journey's End' needs lots of space to grow and spread since the ruffled leaves are quite large, measuring 14 inches long by 10 inches wide! * Large leaves * Clumping habit * Low maintenance

Hibiscus Party Favor (Rose Mellow), Hibiscus moscheutos 'Party Favor', forms a large clumping habit that makes this plant a “stand alone” in the landscape because of its extended bloom time! From midsummer until frost, the large, long lasting blooms will create a striking display.  ‘Party Favor’ has large rose-pink buds that open to glossy, medium pink flowers that have overlapping petals with red eye centers.  This hibiscus is a super long-blooming plant that produces large dinner plate-sized 8-10 inch wide pink blossoms! 'Party Favor' has highly dissected, green leaves on nicely branched red stems.  Moist soils are best, but this hardy hibiscus is very drought tolerant as well.  Perennial Hibiscus should be cut back to 4-6 from the ground in the spring. It grows well in any fertile, well-drained soil with ample moisture.  Do not allow to dry to the wilting point.  Be careful to not over-water until plants show signs of growth.  Be patient; hibiscus can be slow to emerge in spring.  For best performance, plant in full sun in moist soil, before the heat of the summer. This hibiscus is suitable for very large containers, but pots must be protected over winter.  'Party Favor' plants will die back to ground level during the winter months.
