Clematis - Vino
Clematis - Vino Clematis Vino, Clematis 'Vino', features stunning, violet-red 7 flowers with contrasting creamy-yellow anthers. What an excellent flower for cut flowers and container growing! You can also let this beautiful prolific climbing clematis trail along fences and arbors in your landscape. When Vino reblooms in late summer, the flowers become smaller, about 5 in diameter, and a lighter color. The Vino flowers are borne on side shoots growing from last year's shoots. Vino will bloom primarily on old wood of the previous season, with a second flush later in summer. If necessary, prune it back every second or third year to just above a set of buds about 6-8 inches from the ground to allow it to rejuvenate. Vino prefers part shade and well drained soil. It has green foliage throughout the season and the compound leaves do not develop any appreciable fall color. It is a great choice to attract hummingbirds! * Stunning flowers * Part Shade * Cut flowers

Verbena - Homestead Purple - Sale Price: $56.95 The Verbena Homestead Purple, 'Verbena canadensis 'Homestead Purple', produces deep purple, velvety flowers that dance above this vigorous groundcover type selection for a spectacular show all summer. The leaves are deep green, coarse-textured and up to 4 inches long. This plant matures at 1 foot tall and 3 feet wide. Homestead Purple is a nice compact plant with a bushy growth habit. If the plant gets a little spindly with some leggy-looking growth, pinch back the leggy growth to encourage bushiness. It is ideal for borders, hanging baskets, rock gardens and retaining walls. Homestead Purple should be placed in full sun in a well-drained soil. Like most fast growing perennials, it responds well to good soil preparation and occasional fertilization. Use this plant in containers or as a long-blooming groundcover. This plant is very useful at the base of taller summer annuals and perennials. Purple, Purple, Purple! |
| Beebalm - Coral Reef - Sale Price: $42.75 The Bee Balm 'Coral Reef', Monarda didyma 'Coral Reef', is a brilliant, neon coral-pink Bee Balm! This new selection has a habit similar to ‘Marshall's Delight’ and has demonstrated fairly good mildew resistance. Growing to 36-42 inches tall, 'Coral Reef' is an easy-to-grow native with hundreds of coral-pink flowers. Blooming in midsummer, it is a long-blooming and clean selection. This tough and aromatic plant attracts butterflies and hummingbirds with its sweetly scented flowers. It spreads enthusiastically in moist soil, but is more restrained in the average garden. It is best to deadhead regularly for repeat blooms, removing the spent flower and its stem down to the next bud or basal foliage. Grow in full sun average to moist soil with good drainage. Water well after planting and regularly until established. The exceptionally large, hot-pink blooms are long-lasting, so plant ‘Coral Reef’ where it can show off its bright color. * Drought tolerant * Aromatic * Mildew Resistant |
| Hosta - Silver Bay - Sale Price: $39.95 Hosta Silver Bay, Hosta 'Silver Bay', is one of the best new blue hostas on the market, and one of the most talked about hostas in recent years! The heart-shaped, intense, silver blue leaves form an attractive mound. The leaves are also thick and heavily corrugated. Pale lavender flowers top the mound in mid-late summer. 'Silver Bay' is a real winner! Hostas grow best in moist, well-drained, highly organic soils with a pH between 5.5 and 7.5. Sandy loam is better than clay because it provides more aeration for the roots. It is best to keep areas around hostas clear of excess leaf debris to reduce the presence of slugs and snails. Plant this low care plant in an area that receives the right amount of light. The leaves need some morning sun to bring out the best coloration; too much sun will burn the leaves. 'Silver Bay' is most at home in shady, woodland settings and often works well as specimen or edging plant. 'Silver Bay' has a great spread of 2-3 feet, filling in your shaded space very nicely; a special plant that should be planted in a very special place! * Blue hosta * Easy to grow * Mounding habit |
| Beebalm - Jacob Cline - Sale Price: $64.25 The Beebalm Jacob Cline, 'Monarda didyma 'Jacob Cline', is a bushy, clump-forming perennial producing large red flowers above lance-shaped, dark green, citrus-scented leaves in summer. This plant attracts bees and hummingbirds and it is one of the most mildew-resistant bee balms. The Jacob Cline flowers are fragrant and they begin to bloom in mid to late summer. They are deer resistant. Place this bee balm in a sunny area with good air circulation. The plant clumps may need to be thinned after several years if they get too crowded. Attracting hummingbirds, butterflies and bees, particularly when massed, Monarda provides color and contrast for the perennial border, wild garden, meadow, herb garden or along ponds or streams. This plant prefers neutral to alkaline soils. * Long bloom period! |
| Daylily - Strawberry Candy - Sale Price: $49.95 The Hemerocallis ‘Strawberry Candy’, also known as a Daylily, has a wonderful color of a strawberry-pink blend with a rosy-red eye zone, a golden green throat, and ruffled edges. It has a flower size of 4.5”, and its dark green foliage will reach a height of 26” and a plant spread of 12-24”. It won the Stout Silver Medal in 1998, the Award of Merit in 1996 and Honorable Mention in 1993; one can see why! ‘Strawberry Candy’ will bloom from May through July, with outstanding color and is a definite rebloomer. ‘Strawberry Candy’ prefers a full sun area that is well-drained. Although the blooms will last only for one day, there are many blooms on strong stems that rise above tall grassy foliage, (remove in late fall). ‘Strawberry Candy’ is considered to be pest and deer resistant. Use ‘Strawberry Candy’ for cut flowers, massing, edging, in borders or in mixed containers and tubs. Planted together in large numbers, they quickly crowd out weeds and make a carefree and colorful ground cover.
