  Coneflower - Ruby Star The Coneflower 'Ruby Star', Echinacea purpurea 'Ruby Star', produces large, intense carmine red, daisy-like flowers with a dark bronze pincushion-like center cone. These flowers grow on 40 inch tall stems from late spring through summer! Ruby Star' is a great sun-loving and drought tolerant perennial; attracts butterflies!  This coneflower is stunning with ornamental grasses, easy to grow in full sun to part shade, and does best in full sun. This plant adapts to drought, moist soil, heat, humidity and poor soil.  Coneflowers do double duty when it comes to benefiting wildlife.  The new flowers provide nectar for butterflies and other pollinators, while old flowers provide seed for songbirds. The dead flower stems will remain erect well into the winter and, if flower heads are not removed, are often visited by goldfinches and other birds to feed on the seed.   Clematis - Henryi - Sale Price: $44.95 The Clematis ‘Henryi’, Lanuginosa X group, has white flowers with chocolate brown anthers that bloom in June and September;  range in height of 10-12’ and a spread of 3’.   |   Scabiosa - Pink Mist - Sale Price: $24.95 The Scabiosa 'Pink Mist', Scabiosa columbaria, (PP 8957) also known as the Pincushion Flower, has wonderful 2 pink flowers that bloom from June to October. 'Pink Mist' is a reminiscent of a pincushion full of pins. With its gray-green foliage, it has a plant height of 12” and a spread of 12-18, not to mention being disease resistant. It is best to plant Pink Mist Scabiosa in full sun, with well-drained soil and should be watered regularly throughout the warmer months to increase its overall performance. Deadheading after the first bloom will encourage repeat bloom time. 'Pink Mist' is great for attracting butterflies and hummingbirds and does excellent in rock gardens.   |   Hibiscus - Lord Baltimore - Sale Price: $106.95 The Hibiscus 'Lord Baltimore', Hibiscus moscheutos, has beautiful red flowers that are a definite eye-catcher.  It has a plant height of 6-8' and a spread of 3-4'.  The brilliant red flowers are 10 in diameter, so 'Lord Baltimore' is a colorful hibiscus that should not be missed! The deep green, lobed leaves make a wonderful contrast.  'Lady Baltimore' prefers moist to wet soil conditions and loves the heat of summer.  It is frequently used as a specimen. It is best to plant this Hibiscus in a full sun to partial shade area, and it will tolerate most soil types.  'Lord Baltimore' looks wonderful with grasses, or as a background plant. It grows well in any fertile, well-drained soil with ample moisture. Do not allow to dry to the wilting point.  Be patient; hibiscus can be slow to emerge in spring; provide regular fertilization during the growing season.  Be careful to not over water until plants show signs of growth!  For best performance, plant before the heat of the summer. 'Lord Baltimore' is suitable for very large containers, but pots must be protected over winter.  Although the hibiscus grows tall, the need for staking is rare.  These plants will die back to ground level during the winter months.   Hibiscus needs little care once established, attracts butterflies, and it has some of the largest flowers of any perennial! * Large flowers * Easy to grow * Vigorous grower |
