Coneflower - Ruby Star The Coneflower 'Ruby Star', Echinacea purpurea 'Ruby Star', produces large, intense carmine red, daisy-like flowers with a dark bronze pincushion-like center cone. These flowers grow on 40 inch tall stems from late spring through summer! Ruby Star' is a great sun-loving and drought tolerant perennial; attracts butterflies! This coneflower is stunning with ornamental grasses, easy to grow in full sun to part shade, and does best in full sun. This plant adapts to drought, moist soil, heat, humidity and poor soil.
