Grass - Variegated Feather Reed - Sale Price: $29.95 Grass - Variegated Feather Reed, Calamagrostis acutiflora 'Overdam', displays white and green leaves, and its smaller size makes it more refined than 'Karl Forester'. In some ways, it is even more pleasing than its big brother, Karl. It has medium blade width and flowers in June through July. It will most likely remain upright throughout the winter. Variegated Feather Reed does well in heavy clay soils, unlike many of the other ornamental grasses. It provides an excellent vertical accent for borders and for narrow spaces in the landscape. It is also effective in moist low spots or on pond/stream banks. With ample moisture it will do well in full sun, but likes a little shade in hot climates. Variegated Feather Reed works well as a specimen, or incorporated into a border and makes a good low screen, especially in somewhat shady areas. Use as a backdrop for roses and other perennials. It should be cut back in early spring, just before the new growth starts. Iris ‘Caesar's Brother’ is one of the most easily grown Iris’.  It prefers moist, well-drained soil in full sun, but will tolerate some afternoon shade.  This Iris needs plenty of water throughout the season to looks its best.  It can also tolerate a poor, dry soil because its thick roots penetrate the soil deeply. Iris ‘Caesar’s Brother’ is useful in many ways and is best used around pools, ponds and water gardens, and for mass plantings.  It can be planted on difficult banks and prevent erosion. This plant needs both male and female plant to produce the beautiful fruit, only the female plants will produce fruit. Plants are unsexed. The small greenish-white flowers are produced in June in short clusters. Lavender - English Munstead - Sale Price: $39.95 The English Lavender Munstead, 'Lavandula angustifolia 'Munstead', is one of the Lavandula angustifolias or English lavenders.  This plant is a branched, woody, perennial lavender plant that grows much like a small evergreen shrub.  The narrow leaves are about 2 inches long and have a pleasing gray-green color. A fragrant and a robust lavender, 'Munstead' makes a great hedge.  English Lavender ‘Munstead’ blooms profusely in the spring, after which a good pruning will provide an attractive gray bush with highly aromatic leaves! ‘Munstead’ is able to tolerate heat better than most other lavenders.  For good drainage, add sand to the bottom of the hole, especially if planting it in clay soil.  In order to have a bushier and taller plant, it should be pruned back the first year. This compact variety of English lavender has lavender blue flowers and is not only great for landscapes, but the flowers have a rich sweet flavor and are especially good when used with sweets, such as in baking and even added to tea!
