Daylily - Woodside Amethyst
Daylily - Woodside Amethyst The Daylily Woodside Amethyst, 'Hemerocallis 'Woodside Amethyst', produces a large blooming lavender purple flower with a green throat.  The flowers are medium sized or about 4 inches in diameter. The sword-like foliage is semi-evergreen.  These plants usually do not need dividing for several years and can be divided in the fall or early spring.  They will grow in almost any soil and handle drought to wet soil conditions. Use 'Woodside Amethyst' for mass plantings, edging, in borders or in mixed containers and tubs.  Individual flowers last only one day, but since each plant produces many buds, the total blooming time of a well-established clump may last more than a month; attracts butterflies. Daylilies can survive many harsh conditions that other plants cannot including: polluted city environments, slopes, poor and dry soils, near pavement that is salted in winter, and under Black Walnut trees (not affected by juglone). 'Woodside Amethyst' displays lots of blooms for a gorgeous mass of color;  also makes a beautiful floral arrangement.  It is one of the most beautiful purple daylilies you can have in your garden! * Long blooming * Fragrant * Dramatic and durable
