Daylily - Sombrero Way - Sale Price: $49.95 The Daylily Sombrero Way, Hemerocallis 'Sombrero Way', is fast becoming one of the most popular daylilies for gardeners!  It produces large clumps of long grass-like leaves with showy clusters of ruffled, rich orange lily-like blooms on tall stems. It is hard to find a good quality daylily with a nice, solid orange color, but that's what ‘Sombrero Way’ provides!  This mid-summer bloomer is ideal for the middle to back of a border plant because it will grow 2’ tall and as wide. The grass-like foliage is attractive all season long, and it will be back again every year with only minimal winter protection. Try 'Sombrero Way' in mixed beds and borders, containers and large mass plantings.  Plant as a ground cover on slopes, where they form a dense mat in just a few years.; attracts butterflies. This daylily is best cleaned up in early spring before it resumes active growth for the season. Coneflower - Meringue - Sale Price: $49.95 Coneflower Meringue, Echinacea purpurea 'Meringue' PPAF, produces creamy yellow pom-poms with apple green centers, set atop white ray petals, creating this delicious meringue coneflower. As the flower ages, Echinacea 'Meringue' PPAF, opens as flat as a daisy, and as it matures the center cone grows upward and develops short, puffy petals that give it that gumdrop look. Compact grower; great for containers, balconies and small gardens.  Groom this clematis after flowering by cutting back the top one-third to one-half of some stems. This encourages new growth for possible summer bloom. Clematis 'Rhapsody' needs a supporting structure to grow properly.  Clematis is easy to grow in a rich, porous, alkaline soil with plenty of room for the roots to spread. Best performance is when the tops are in full sunlight and the roots are shaded, so apply generous mulch or a shallow-rooted ground cover near the base of the vine. Coral Bells - Palace Purple - Sale Price: $42.75 The Heuchera ‘Palace Purple’, Heuchera micrantha, also known as Alumroot or Coral Bell, is one of the most popular Coral Bells on the market! Being named Perennial of the Year in 1991, one can see why. With its unique deep purple foliage, fading to bronzy green in hot summers, and its dark red stems, it is a little different than the rest. In the springtime, small pinkish and white flowers appear that last into the summer, however, Coral Bells are not known for their flowers, but their foliage. ‘Palace Purple’ has a plant spread of 10-15” and a height of 12-18”.  It is best to grow it in medium wet, well-drained soils, in full shade. (It can tolerate some morning sun.) ‘Palace Purple’ looks especially good around the edge of borders, near variegated plants, woodland edges, rock gardens, perennial borders, or in mass to form an attractive ground cover. Cold and drought tolerant and withstanding heat and humidity, nothing seems to phase this plant.  ‘Palace Purple’ needs about one inch of water per week; divide clumps in fall.
