Grass - Dwarf Fountain
The Grass 'Dwarf Fountain Grass', Pennisetum alopecuroides 'Hameln', is a great grass for a specimen or in mass plantings. The leaves are narrow and arch.  The seed-heads resemble bottle brushes which are a rose copper bristly head. It truly gives a fountain like appearance. The mature flowers last until winter freezes shatter the seed heads!  Ornamental Grasses are gaining in popularity all over the U.S. due to their undemanding nature and long lasting, year round beauty. There is nothing that adds such interesting forms, textures and movement to a garden, than with this diverse plant group. They can be planted along banks of ponds, incorporated into perennial gardens, grouped together, utilized as a ground cover along walkways, paths or on steep banks. They aren't fussy about soil requirements, are drought tolerant as well as insect and disease resistant. Dwarf Fountain prefers full sun and well drained-soils. If planted in partial shade, little or no flowering will occur. * Small * Graceful * Hardy

Daylily - Ruby Stella - DetailsDaylily - Ruby Stella - Sale Price: $49.95
The Daylily 'Ruby Stella', Hemerocallis 'Ruby Stella', is a durable perennial with grass-like leaves that produces showy clusters of deep wine-red lily-like fragrant blooms on tall stems. The flowers appear in late spring to early summer and continue until frost.  ‘Ruby Stella’ is in its full glory by July! Unlike most daylilies, it reblooms throughout summer, with sufficient reliability that it is categorized as ever-blooming.  It grows 14-18 inches tall and 18-24 wide. Even though drought tolerant, ‘Ruby Stella’ blooms much better with regular watering.  Plant in drifts for maximum effect! The mounding strap-like foliage adds a textural element to the garden when not in bloom.  Deer resistant. Individual flowers last only one day, but since each plant produces many buds, the total blooming time of a well-established clump may last more than a month.  Use this daylily for color in shrub borders and in perennial beds; attracts butterflies. Once established, the daylily can be an excellent groundcover on slopes because it has roots that hold soil against erosion.  Divide every 3-5 years, or when the number of flower buds and the size of bloom begin to decline.  This ravishing beauty is a proven top perennial performer! * Compact habit * Ever blooming * Durable

Victorian Blush Peony blooms late in the spring atop a good clean green foliage. This peony features creamy ruffled petals that will range in tones from a kiss of pink to a more solid hue. Filling the garden with a delicious fragrance, this peony has flowers that are long-lasting, have strong stems, and are ideal for fresh bouquets. This plant needs winter chilling to break dormancy and flower well. Peonies prefer rich soil, full sun, and open areas. They are simple to grow and can be utilized in many ways, including mass plantings, specimens, or hedges. Peony Victorian Blush is one spectacular peony that is hard to resist!

Lavender - Hidcote - DetailsLavender - Hidcote - Sale Price: $32.95
The Lavender 'Hidcote', Lavandula angustifolia 'Hidcote', is a dwarf variety that is a compact grower and reaches 18-24 inches tall.  It produces fragrant spikes of dark purple flowers in summer.  These flowers produce the purest lavender scent! Being drought tolerant, it is ideal as a short perennial shrub border or as an herb in a kitchen garden.  Lavender was selected in 1999 as the International Herb Association Plant of the Year! This plant is great for hedges and edging because 'Hidcote' has a more erect and compact habit.  It boasts 2½-inch, linear, downy leaves on strong stems.   The leaves open white, then turn a pale gray-blue-green color.  This Lavender grows in a well-drained, neutral to alkaline soil in an open, sunny spot.  For better drainage, add sand in the hole when first planting this lavender. Trim back in spring to encourage bushier growth; also deadhead after flowering. The sweetest scent of all lavender, it is also the most cold hardy, and it should be pruned back the first year. If you want dried flowers,  pick when showing color but before fully open; tie in bunches and hang in a cool, airy place. One of the most famous of all herbs, 'Hidcote' is used most often in sachets in the home  and for perfumes! * Dwarf * Cold hardy * Pale gray, blue-green foliage

Ligularia has a clumping habit and performs best when protected from the hottest sun and the soil is kept evenly moist.  It is a bold specimen perennial that forms a mound of large, elegant deeply-cut bright green leaves.  The flowers and leaves make wonderful cut bouquets.   This plant makes a great specimen, and 'Dragon Wings' looks especially attractive in a container on the patio! * Large, leathery leaves * Yellow flowers * Clumping habit
