The Hosta Wheee!, Hosta 'Wheee!', has amazing rippled and ruffled foliage that shows off its appealing colors.  The light green leaves of ‘Wheee!’ have cream-colored margins, and they extend from the tip all the way down the petiole to the crown. Having excellent substance, the leaves are resistant to slugs.  In midsummer light lavender flowers appear on 24 purple scapes Plant this low care plant in an area that receives the right amount of light.  The leaves need some morning sun to bring out the best coloration; too much sun will burn the leaves.  ‘Wheee!’ is most at home in shady, woodland settings and often works well as specimen or edging plant. Hostas grow best in moist, well-drained, highly organic soils with a pH between 5.5 and 7.5.  Sandy loam is better than clay because it provides more aeration for the roots.  It is best to keep areas around hostas clear of excess leaf debris to reduce the presence of slugs and snails.  Due to its versatility and ease of care, ‘Wheee!’ hostas are extremely popular perennials for all gardeners! * Slug resistance * Clumping habit * Appealing foliage

The Peony 'Karl Rosenfield', 'Paeonia', a fall planted bulb, produces magnificent bright red flowers that are stunning in the garden and superb for cut flowers. During late spring-early summer, they fill the garden with fragrance. They also produce superb, long lasting cut flowers. They will bloom 3 to 4 weeks in late spring. The Peony tolerates some drought but thrives in moist, fertile, well-draining soil. If your soil is extremely acid, add some lime at planting time. The Scabiosa 'Butterfly Blue’, Scabiosa columbaria, also known as the Pincushion Flower, has wonderful 2 lavender-blue flowers that bloom from June to October. ‘Butterfly Blue’ is a reminiscent of a pincushion full of pins. With its gray-green foliage, it has a plant height of 12” and a spread of 12-18. It is also disease resistant. Scabiosa ‘Butterfly Blue’ was name Perennial Plant of the Year in 2000, and one can see why. It is best to plant Scabiosa in full sun, with well-drained soil and should be watered regularly throughout the warmer months to increase its overall performance.
