Leadwort - Plumbago
Leadwort - Plumbago The Ceratostigma ‘Plumbago Leadwort’, Ceratostigma plumbaginoides, is a beautiful, fast growing ground cover with dark oval green foliage, turning to dark blue in late summer and early fall. The small blue flowers make this ground cover more unusual than the rest because of its late blooming time. ‘Plumbago’ reaches a height of 10” and a plant spread of 18-24”. It can be somewhat invasive (like most ground covers) and should be kept under control. ‘Plumbago’ needs full sun but can tolerate afternoon shade. For best results, plant in a fertile, moist but well-drained soil. It works great at the front of the perennial border, shrub borders, rock gardens, or as an edging plant. Being a dependable long lived perennial, this leadwort ground cover is hard to beat. It has pretty blue flowers that bloom in late summer; adds interest when other plants begin to fade! Even the foliage provides color as it turns a gorgeous bronze red later in the fall! Try planting ‘Plumbago’ with Achillea ‘Moonshine’ and Coreopsis ‘Moonbeam’. * Fast growing * Ground cover * Dependable

| Rose - Red Meidiland® - Shrub - Sale Price: $71.35 Red Meidiland® Rose, Rosa 'MEIneble' (PP7,116), is covered by small, dense leaves of glossy dark green. It produces clusters of single red roses (to 3” diameter) with white centers and yellow stamens in a continuous bloom from May to frost. The flowers have no fragrance. The blooms are borne in sprays of seven to fifteen. The end of the season brings a special attraction as orange-red fruit persists along bronze winter stems. This rose has its own root. The advantage of own root roses is that once established they are very resilient. If winter's freezing breezes kill the top growth, the rose will grow back in the spring, and the recovered rose will look the same as the one you purchased. Red Meidiland is a low-growing shrub rose with a creeping habit that is often grown as a ground cover. It typically grows with arching or cascading stems to 1.5 to 2 feet tall and spreads to 4 to 5 feet wide. Meidiland roses are landscape and ground cover roses that come from Meidiland of France. A groundcover of dark green and sparkling with red flowers! |
| Hibiscus - Kopper King - USPP 10,793 - Sale Price: $49.95 The Hibiscus ‘Kopper King’, is the most popular variety of the Fleming Hibiscus. Named by James Fleming himself, it has a plant height of 4’ and beautiful dinner-plate size 12” flowers! The flowers are white with red centers that fade to pink as they streak through the veination to the petal’s edge. The foliage took over 20 years to develop and refine and one can see why. Unlike most hibiscuses, ‘Kopper King’ has maple-cut, copper-red shaded leaves, with some leaves having copper on both sides. It is best to plant this Hibiscus in a full sun area, and it will tolerate most soil types. ‘Kopper King’ looks wonderful with grasses, as a background plant or with Hibiscus ‘Old Yella’. It grows well in any fertile, well-drained soil with ample moisture. Do not allow to dry to the wilting point. Be patient; hibiscus can be slow to emerge in spring; provide regular fertilization during this growing season. For best performance, plant before the heat of the summer. ‘Kopper King’ is suitable for very large containers, but pots must be protected over winter. Although the hibiscus grows tall, the need for staking is rare. These plants will die back to ground level during the winter months. Be careful to not over water until plants show signs of growth! Hibiscus needs little care once established, attracts butterflies, and it has some of the largest flowers of any perennial! * Large flowers * Easy to grow * Vigorous grower |
| Daylily - El Desperado - Sale Price: $39.95 The Daylily El Desperado, Hemerocallis 'El Desperado' (Stamile, '91), has large, mustard yellow flowers with a bold and contrasting purple eye above a green throat with green foliage. ‘El Desperado’ is a popular daylily among daylily lovers! It adds an extremely high bud count and an extended 16-hour bloom time that lets you enjoy blooms in the late afternoon and evening. It will bloom early in the season and then repeat bloom late in the season. It can survive harsh conditions that many other plants cannot and prefers full sun for the best performance. Daylilies are some of the easiest plants to grow and are a good choice for any gardener. They will grow in almost any soil and handle drought to wet soil conditions. In areas that receive less than 6 hours of sun during the day, your daylilies will probably produce fewer and smaller blooms, and the foliage may not be as robust.
