It can reach a height of six feet in six years with good care.  When used in windbreaks, it should be placed in east or south inside rows and works best in partial shade to full sun.  The Scotch Pine does best in well-drained soils and is adaptable to nearly all climates! Thriving on neglect in full sun, Scotch Pine is grown in urban areas as an ornamental evergreen tree, in rural areas for erosion control, or for primary establishment. Red Mulberry - DetailsRed Mulberry - Sale Price: $85.65
Carefree Tree with Delicious Fruit The Red Mulberry is a fruit-bearing tree that is not only lovely, but useful to both humans and wildlife.  The most attractive feature of this tree is the fruit it produces.  Look closely in the spring and you’ll notice small, green catkin-like spikes amid your Mulberry’s branches.  These will soon turn into the raspberry-like berries that you’ve been waiting for.  Each berry is a fascinating site to behold as it transforms through deepening shades of red then to a deep purple. When you step outside in the morning, you’ll likely hear the chirps and cheeps of the neighborhood birds filling your Mulberry tree as they share in the bounty.    Mulberries can be eaten directly from your tree, or save some for pies, preserves and wine.  They’re a delicious sweet treat on a summer day.   Your Mulberry has a rounded crown and grows to about 50 feet.  The 5 inch oblong, toothed dark green leaves are particularly interesting because each tree can have several different shaped leaves.  When fall approaches, the leaves turn a lively yellow to brighten your yard.   A Red Mulberry tree is an essential addition to any yard where an easy-to-care-for fruit tree is desired.  Simply plant and wait…soon you’ll have a beautiful tree and delicious harvest for yourself and wildlife.   * Care-free tree * Edible fruit * Attractive to wildlife

American Sycamore - DetailsAmerican Sycamore - Sale Price: $99.95
Massive, Fast-Growing Shade Tree The American Sycamore (Platanus occidentalis) is one of the largest and oldest North American native trees.  Its exceptionally rapid growth and immense size makes it an excellent choice as a central focal point in your yard or perhaps as a border tree.  It’s tolerant of air pollution, so this tree would even thrive on a city lot. Sycamores can be massive, growing to over 100 feet tall and with a crown of 70 feet in diameter.  They have the largest diameter of any American hardwood, in some cases growing over 10 feet.  This spectacular tree’s symmetrical canopy will provide you with a cool spot to sit through those hot summer days in a fraction of the time other shade trees require.     The white bark of the Sycamore tends to peel off in places, creating a unique mottled look that is sure to draw attention to your yard in any season.  Many people consider them self-pruning as you will rarely see the unsightly dead branches common to the canopies of other landscape trees.  The unneeded wood from your Sycamore will even make excellent mulch for your flower beds. Native Americans used Sycamores for many medicinal purposes, and the seed balls are prized by crafters today.  The Sycamore decorates itself for winter with 1 inch brown spiky balls hanging from 3-6 inch “threads”.  These seed balls will appear all over your tree.  In the spring they will fall to the ground, ready to be made into holiday ornaments, wreaths, bird feeders…whatever your imagination can create. With an expected age of 250 years or more, planting a Sycamore is like leaving a legacy for the generations to come. * Fast-Growing* Massive size* Long lived* Decorative seed pods

Bur Oak - DetailsBur Oak - Sale Price: $54.95
Grow your own mighty oak. The Bur Oak (Quercus macrocarpa) makes an outstanding ornamental tree and is one of the most tolerant white oaks. It is sometimes spelled Burr Oak and is also called Mossycup Oak. A long lived tree the Bur Oak typically lives between 200-300 years and its mature height is up to 100 feet. A beautiful, stately tree that is tolerant of a variety of soil and water conditions. It also adapts well to urban settings. It can be grown from Alaska to Texas, further proof of its mighty strength. From spring to summer the Bur Oak flaunts its distinctive, lobed, shiny, deep green leaves. Shortly after the arrival of the leaves your oak will flower. No traditional flower would do for the oak though. Instead it will be dripping with yellow-green catkins. The elegant, almost whimsical flowers are where the acorns will originate. The acorns of the Bur Oak are the largest of all North American oaks. They are very important to wildlife as a food source. Squirrels, some birds and even some ducks rely on the acorns for food. A beautiful, rugged tree that will bring wildlife to your yard and last for many generations, the Bur Oak is a great choice. * Long Lived* Drought tolerant* Very adaptable

Little Leaf Linden - DetailsLittle Leaf Linden - Sale Price: $56.95
The Little Leaf Linden tree, 'Tilia cordata ', is a very good lawn shade tree and is ideally suited to home situations.  Its pyramidal to pyramidal-rounded shape and dense foliage make it an excellent landscape tree. The leaves are glossy, dark green, heart-shaped and appear in spring,  turning yellow or yellow-green in the fall.  As a rule, shade trees don't have very interesting flowers or a scent, but this hardy ‘Little Leaf’ Linden is the exception to the rule!  The small, fragrant yellowish flowers appear in June.  Small, round seeds are also produced, and they persist well into winter.   ‘Little Leaf’ Linden is widely used as a street tree due to its rapid growth rate, and often for residential landscaping.  The ‘Little Leaf’ Linden is fairly tolerant to a wide range of site conditions and requires little maintenance.  It tolerates clay soils better than many tree species and is fairly tolerant of pollution. The tree grows in sun or partial shade, and will tolerate alkaline soil if it is moist, and it transplants well; not particularly tolerant of drought. ‘Little Leaf’ has many fantastic attributes, and one of the best is that the leaves remain green on the tree long after other trees have shed! * Pyramidal shape * Fall color * Low maintenance
