Sedum - Star Dust Sedum Star Dust, Sedum 'Star Dust', is a pale pink budded succulent sedum with grey-green leaves, topped with large, flat, white flower-heads in late summer. Star Dust begins to produce green broccoli-like buds in mid-summer, which gradually open into large clear-white flower heads, later developing a tinge of pink. Star Dust is a valuable late source of nectar for butterflies and bees too. This sedum looks great planted in bold drifts towards the front of a sunny, well-drained border. Seed heads also add some winter interest. It is best to apply a thin layer of compost each spring, followed by a 2-inch layer of mulch to keep soil moist and control weeds.
