Butterfly Bush - Nanho Purple - Sale Price: $56.45 Nanho Purple Butterfly Bush, Buddleia davidii 'Nanho Purple', is sometimes called the Summer Lilac. Vigorous growing multi-stem plant, it has tiny individual purple flowers that are produced in profusion in long, dense trusses from July to September. It is more compactly leafed than most Butterfly Bush varieties. In northern areas it dies back in winter, so trim to 6-10 in spring. It is crown hardy in zone 5, a good cut flower, and attracts butterflies. Butterfly bushes prefer full sun and must receive eight or more hours of sun a day to thrive and get the best blooms. Cut faded flowers off of bush regularly to keep it blooming throughout the summer. It is easily maintained at four to six feet in height, and five feet wide, if it is hard-pruned annually. Cotoneaster - Cranberry - Sale Price: $32.95 The Cotoneaster Cranberry, 'Cotoneaster apiculatus', is a deciduous shrub that is easily grown in average, medium wet, well-drained soils in full sun. It has a wide tolerance of soil types. The branches may root where they touch the ground. This dense shrub displays stiffly arching branches. The small pink flowers appear in late spring and they will produce red cranberry-like berries in late summer. The autumn leaf color is very attractive with shades of purple, red and bronze. Use this plant to cover large areas, as a foundation plant, a low informal hedge or for erosion control on steep banks. Viburnum - Forest Rouge Blackhaw - Sale Price: $43.95 The Forest Rouge Blackhaw Viburnum, Viburnum prunifolium 'McKRouge', is a trademarked selection made by Dan Moore at Mckay Nursery. This shrub has a dense, more oval, upright branching form than the species.  The foliage emerges yellow green and ages to a dark, shiny green. It is grown for this glossy, fine, smooth, textured foliage. Dark red young stems are a lovely contrast to the emerging yellow-green foliage.   Clusters of creamy-white flowers appear in spring followed by bluish-black berries that persist through fall until winter.  The fall color starts early on plants that are in full sun, and they will hold late into the season.  The plant is appropriately named because the 'Forest Rouge Blackhawk' has an outstanding maroon fall color. Bluebeard - Arthur J. Simmonds - Sale Price: $49.95 The Arthur J. Simmonds Bluebeard, Caryopteris x clandonensis 'Arthur J. Simmonds', is perhaps the hardiest of bluebeards! It displays powdery light blue flowers that are produced in late summer when few other shrubs bloom. It makes a shapely rounded bush, and its light colored lance-shaped leaves visually blur with the blue of the flowers. Before flowering, Arthur J. Simmonds makes a fine foliaged, formal shape that combines well with golden grasses. This is a relatively small shrub that will die back to the ground during the winter.
