Black-Eyed Susan - Deamii
Black-Eyed Susan Deamii, Rudbeckia fulgida var. Deamii, is a larger, cheerier, and more colorful yellow-orange black “hatted” cone flower. The daisy-like flower petals have more orange color and appear on top of 2' tall stems in late summer.  Deamii adds fantastic color to a perennial border or can be used in mass plantings. The flower has blackish-brown centers and bloom in abundance from August to October.  After the flowers drop off, they leave the black cone which will bring birds and sound to a garden! Deamii prefers full sun to partial shade and moderately fertile, preferably heavy but well-drained soil. The colonies can be divided either in autumn or spring. This beautiful black-eyed Susan is an excellent choice for the middle of a late summer border. Display the Deamii in bold drifts in a sunny or partially shady site that doesn't dry out over summer.  With its toothed, mid-green leaves and excellent long lasting cut-flowers, this plant will certainly become one of your favorites! * Hardy * Daisy-like petals * Orange color

Daylily - Happy Returns - DetailsDaylily - Happy Returns - Sale Price: $39.95

With its dark green foliage, this daylily will reach a height of 18” and a spread of 12-24”.  ‘Happy Returns’ will bloom from May through July, with outstanding color, and it is a definite rebloomer! ‘Happy Returns’ prefers a full sun area that is well drained.  Although the blooms will last only for one day, there are many blooms on strong stems that rise above tall grassy foliage, (remove in late fall).  ‘Happy Returns’ is considered to be pest and deer resistant.   Use for cut flowers, massing, edging, in borders or in mixed containers and tubs.  It will grow in almost any soil and handle drought to wet soil conditions. Daylily - August Frost - DetailsDaylily - August Frost - Sale Price: $54.95
Hemerocallis August Frost, Hemerocallis 'August Frost', is a daylily that exhibits a healthy, hardy clump of green foliage and is a faithful and heavy performer; not a rebloomer.  ‘August Frost’ has large, 6” near white to pale yellow flowers that have narrow gold edging on the petals.   This daylily tolerates the temperature extremes of the season, and because of its beautiful form and overlapping petals, ‘August Frost’ provides a bright accent to a garden.  Its blooms are impressive and the fabulous contrasting gold wire edges make a dainty ruffled flounce! Because it is a late bloomer, you can enjoy its fabulous color when other perennials begin to fade.  Individual flowers last only one day but since each plant produces many buds, the total blooming time of a well-established clump may last over a month. Use this daylily for color in shrub borders and in perennial beds. It is an excellent ground cover on slopes because daylilies have roots that hold soil against erosion once established. ‘August Frost’ makes a beautiful floral arrangement.   Daylilies are some of the easiest plants to grow and are a good choice for any gardener.  They will grow in almost any soil and handle drought to wet soil conditions. Planted together in large numbers, they quickly crowd out weeds and make a carefree and colorful ground cover; attracts butterflies. Daylilies can survive many harsh conditions that other plants cannot including: polluted city environments, slopes, poor and dry soils, near pavement that is salted in winter, and under Black Walnut trees (not affected by juglone). * Late bloomer * Hardy * Carefree
