Burning Bush - Emerald Gaiety The Euonymus 'Emerald Gaiety', Euonymus f. 'Emerald Gaiety', has deep green leaves edged in sparkling white. The leaves are tinged with pink in winter. This evergreen shrub has a dense erect habit and is excellent for small hedges and foundation plantings. Plant in full sun. Emerald Gaiety can become a climber if supported. It does not like high winds but is otherwise very hardy. It does well under most light conditions from full sun to fairly deep shade. The flowers are easy to miss, but it can produce quite showy red inedible berries. Zones 5-9. * Variegated!

Use as a pollinator for 'Blue Princess'. 'Blue Prince' and 'Blue Princess' need to be planted near each other in order to produce fruit; one 'Blue Prince' will pollinate many female hollies. Blue Prince makes a fantastic, thick hedge, growing to a maximum height of about 15', but can easily be pruned to a lower height. It needs good drainage and a rich, acid soil. Hollies are good companions for rhododendrons and azaleas, and they accept sun or partial shade. Some protection from winter winds and bright winter sun is preferred. Hollies cheer every winter landscape with their dark green leaves and bright red berries. They certainly are plants with year-round interest: blooms in the spring, berries in fall, and structure in winter. These plants display vibrantly colored textures in a variety of shapes and can be used as foundation plantings or massed in the shrub border. |

| Potentilla - Gold Drop - Sale Price: $39.95 The Potentilla' Gold Drop', Potentilla fruticosa 'Gold Drop', also known as Buttercup Shrub or Shrubby Cinquefoil, displays attractive, yellow buttercup flowers all summer. Potentilla is a superb flowering shrub for northern gardens. It is tough and adaptable to many conditions except, it does not like wet soils. Gold Drop Potentilla is a deciduous shrub that does best in full sun and will flower all summer if trimmed in late June or July along with fertilizer and water. The flowers are borne atop the tips of the new growth. It is best to thin this plant in late winter by cutting back about one third of the stems near the ground (older stems only). Potentilla also serves as a butterfly nectar source and a host for butterfly larvae. It has an attractive green, copper fall color. Gold Drop is not particular about soil types or soil pH levels!
