Daylily Spellbinder, Hemerocallis 'Spellbinder' is certainly one of the most striking daylilies we have seen! As the name implies, these immense 6.5 flowers will cast a spell on you as you stare at the radiant golden-orange flowers.  The color is very intense and will surely get the attention of anyone passing by this daylily! What makes 'Spellbinder' even better is the very long bloom season!  In Michigan, it is one of the first to bloom in early June and it continues to rebloom throughout the summer. 'Spellbinder' also has dark green, pest resistant foliage.  Daylilies will grow in almost any soil and prefer full sun.  Use for mass plantings, edging, in borders or in mixed containers and tubs.   Planted together in large numbers, they quickly crowd out weeds and make a carefree and colorful ground cover. Daylilies can survive many harsh conditions that other plants cannot including: polluted city environments, slopes, poor and dry soils, near pavement that is salted in winter, and under Black Walnut trees (not affected by juglone). It is heavily budded, shows off its warm peach color, and will rebloom later in the season to give you a repeat performance! Peony President Roosevelt, Paeonia lactiflora 'President Roosevelt', is a favorite for a mid spring display and boasts brilliant double red and striking very large semi-rose flowers. Peony President Roosevelt seldom needs to be divided or moved, but if it is needed, it should be done in the fall. Trim off old stems to the ground in late fall too, to help prevent disease problems. Purple Wintercreeper Euonymus, Euonymus fortunei 'Coloratus', also known as Wintercreeper and Wintercreeper Eunonymus, is a dense, woody-stemmed, broadleaf evergreen plant which comes in a variety of forms. Euonymus fortunei 'Coloratus' (commonly called purple wintercreeper euonymus, is primarily a trailing ground cover form which typically grows to 6-9 tall and spreads indefinitely by rooting stems as a sprawling, tangled, bushy mat. It is similar in habit to English ivy, in that it spreads along the ground, rooting as it goes, until it reaches a vertical surface which it then begins to climb. It features lustrous, ovate to elliptic, dark green leaves (1-2 long) which turn dark purple in fall and winter. Purple Wintercreepers have inconspicuous, greenish-white flowers that may appear in June. The flowers are at best sparse, but are usually not present. If allowed to climb a wall, tree or other structure, this plant assumes more vine-like characteristics and is more likely to produce flowers, though still sparse and inconspicuous. 'Coloratus' is sometimes sold as Euonymus fortunei var. coloratus. It is one of the most popular evergreen ground covers available in commerce today.This plant is a good ground cover for slopes. It is also used for container plantings, massing and erosion control.

The Artemisia ‘Silver Mound’, Artemisia schmidtiana, is a wonderful soft, silky, silver-gray accent that is useful in many gardens. ‘Silver Mound’ is a non-spreader and produces small yellow flowers. The Geranium 'Crane's Bill', Geranium sanguineum, is a hardy clump-forming perennial that produces rose-cerise colored flowers in late spring. (Also known as Bloody Cranesbill). This plant requires minimal care.  Providing well-drained soil is beneficial, and it is at home in almost any soil as along as its well drained. It needs to be planted in an area of full sun to partial shade and also must be cut down, after flowering, almost all the way to the ground. It is best to pinch rather heavily after flowering to encourage blooming throughout the summer.  'Crane's Bill' is actually an attractive plant all season, in or out of bloom.  The foliage is usually more distinctly cut than other geraniums, giving it a delicate appearance. 'Crane's Bill' can be a very useful weed smothering, tight knit, ground cover.   In a border or a rock garden, it is a lovely plant and striking when grown along a wall, with the stems and flowers tumbling over the edge! Geraniums are self seeding, fairly adaptable to short periods of dry conditions, and are free from pests and diseases. Geranium sanguineum spreads less quickly than Geranium endressii and really requires little to no care; very attractive to bees. * Hardy * Low maintenance * Clumping habit
