The Hydrangea Mega Pearl, Hydrangea paniculata 'Mega Pearl', sports huge elongated flower panicles that open white, and then turn a light pink towards the end of the flowering period. Mega Pearl is another candidate for full sun or partial shade and well drained soils; requires consistently moist soil; do not let dry out between watering. The big, rounded flower clusters from this incredible hydrangea make handsome dried arrangements. This erect, sturdy Mega Pearl hydrangea has blooms that are formed on new wood, is extremely vigorous and shows off in gardens and containers. Tolerate of both wind and salt, it makes an ideal choice for the seaside summer cottage; prune early spring only.
