Japanese Honeysuckle - Halliana - Sale Price: $56.95 Japanese Honeysuckle 'Halliana', Lonicera japonica 'Halliana', is the most commonly seen Honeysuckle and is also known as Hall's Honeysuckle. It has whitish-yellow flowers with a delightful fragrance. Hall's Honeysuckles are a very fast growing plant to 15 to 30 feet. When used as a ground cover, they are about 2 feet tall. It produces rampant growth capable of engulfing wire or chain-link fences in just a couple of seasons. It is also a reliable, fragrant evergreen vine for a shade arbor. Excellent for screening or to drape over an unsightly wall or wood fence. Honeysuckle enjoys the full sun, but grows and flowers well in partial shade. Honeysuckle can be cut nearly to the ground in late winter/early spring when it becomes too big; new shoots emerge and growth resumes in the spring. A country-garden standby often trained onto dilapidated outbuildings or into the branches of dead trees. Capable of covering huge amounts of space in a short time, this vine makes a great ground cover on banks and slopes for erosion control. Be aware that is can be quite invasive.

Periwinkle is also known as myrtle. The deep lilac flowers are numerous, larger than the species, and appear in both spring and fall. It is an excellent groundcover for flower beds and it forms a dense weed suppressing cover. It grows to 6 inches and spreads to cover a large area. This plant prefers shade in zones 7-8 and they must have shade in zone 9. The Ralph Shugert vinca will handle full sun in zones 4-6 with adequate water. Vinca is virtually carefree! Periwinkle is the most popular evergreen ground cover. Clematis - Terniflora - Sale Price: $42.75 Clematis Terniflora, Clematis 'Terniflora', produces masses of small 1 creamy white flowers that completely cover this plant. Bleeding Heart - Specatabilis - Sale Price: $64.25 The Bleeding Heart Specatabilis, 'Dicentra ‘specatabilis’, is a fast-growing perennial with pink, heart-shaped flowers. It is the most common variety in its species. The blooms look wonderful against its grayish foliage.  Dicentra ‘specatabilis’ has a plant height of 30” and a width of 20”. This Dicentra should be planted in full sun but will tolerate morning shade.  It is heat tolerant and needs moist soil.  Do not let it dry out. This Bleeding Heart will bloom from May to September and is a major attractor to butterflies. The foliage does go dormant, so it is best to plant this bleeding heart among later developing perennials such as hostas and ferns which will fill in as the bleeding heart foliage begins to die back. ‘Specatabilis’ makes excellent cut flowers, in mass with groundcovers, or in potted containers.
