Beebalm - Jacob Cline
Beebalm - Jacob Cline The Beebalm Jacob Cline, 'Monarda didyma 'Jacob Cline', is a bushy, clump-forming perennial producing large red flowers above lance-shaped, dark green, citrus-scented leaves in summer. This plant attracts bees and hummingbirds and it is one of the most mildew-resistant bee balms. The Jacob Cline flowers are fragrant and they begin to bloom in mid to late summer. They are deer resistant. Place this bee balm in a sunny area with good air circulation. The plant clumps may need to be thinned after several years if they get too crowded. Attracting hummingbirds, butterflies and bees, particularly when massed, Monarda provides color and contrast for the perennial border, wild garden, meadow, herb garden or along ponds or streams. This plant prefers neutral to alkaline soils. * Long bloom period!

Clematis - Dr. Ruppel - Sale Price: $42.75 Clematis Dr. Ruppel, Clematis 'Dr. Ruppel', features deep rose-pink 8 inch flowers that have petals with bold carmine-red central bars. Wonderfully free flowering plants bloom in late spring and again in late summer. Its compact habit makes 'Dr. Ruppel' one of the best for container growing. It is also known for its large attractive spherical seed heads. Good cut flower variety. Awarded Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit. Clematis 'Dr. Ruppel' needs a supporting structure to grow properly but will also grow over large shrubs, over walls, cover stumps, and make perfect cover ups for unsightly service areas. Clematis is easy to grow in a rich, porous, alkaline soil with plenty of room for the roots to spread. Best performance is when the tops are in full sunlight and the roots are shaded, so apply a generous mulch or a shallow-rooted ground cover near the base of the vine. Very reliable performers once established; they take a season or two. |
| Daylily - Modern Design - Sale Price: $54.95 Hemerocallis Modern Design, Hemerocallis 'Modern Design', is an excellent and vigorous plant that produces 4 wide blooms. The flowers are light apricot with a pronounced plum burgundy eye and a matching picotee edge. ‘Modern Design’ is a very good bloomer during the summer, and then reliably follows up with another surge of reblooms later in the season! One of the Designer Daylily™ Collection, it has lightly ruffled petals that are gently recurved. Heat and humidity tolerant, Modern Design is considered a premium daylily because it shows outstanding bloom performance, produces vibrant flowers, and has winter hardiness in northern zones. Individual flowers last only one day, but since each plant produces many buds, the total blooming time of a well-established clump may last more than a month. Divide every 3-5 years, or when the number of flower buds and the size of bloom begin to decline. Use ‘Modern Design’ daylily for color in shrub borders and in perennial beds. Once established, the daylily can be an excellent groundcover on slopes because it has roots that hold soil against erosion; attracts butterflies. ‘Modern Design’ makes a beautiful floral arrangement! * Vigorous grower * Large blooms * Rebloomer |

| Trumpet Creeper - Sale Price: $49.95 The Trumpet Creeper, Campsis radicans 'flamenco', is a rapid growing, clinging vine that produces bright red orange trumpet shaped flowers that can get 3 inches long. Blooming in the summer months, it attracts hummingbirds and butterflies. Also known as the Trumpet Vine, it is a tough vine for hot and dry sites. The invasive nature of this plant makes it hard to get rid of, but it is very hardy. It will become less invasive as long as seed pods are removed before they ripen and the plant cut back each spring before new growth develops. The abundant sprays of trumpet-shaped red orange flowers cover this deciduous vine for an extra long bloom season. Trumpet Creepers are often grown with multiple trunks. This vine is a woody climber that grows up to 30 feet tall with the main stem getting about seven inches wide. This plant flowers best in a full sun location. The rapid growth makes it an excellent plant for covering fences or arbors; clinging vines attach themselves to structures and climbs by aerial rootlets. Trumpet Creeper can take the form of a small shrub if it does not have structure to climb. * Fast growing* Vining habit* Bright red orange flowers |
