Clematis - Blue Light Clematis Blue Light, Clematis 'Blue Light®', is an exceptional Clematis that boasts fully double 5-6 flowers of violet blue. Blue Light is an exceptionally free flowering variety and a nice compact grower. Perfect size for an impressive container planting! Enjoy the blooms in late spring through early summer and then again from late summer until fall! It is considered one of the best hostas to be released in years! It has shiny, deeply veined, golden foliage which almost appears to give the leaves a stained glass effect. Each leaf is surrounded by a dark green margin. The fragrant lavender flowers of this hosta appear in late summer, providing bright color in shade along with its colorful foliage. ‘Stained Glass’ is a sun tolerant hosta and should be planted in any moist, well-drained spot. This low care perennial is ideal for tubs and patio pots, and is one of the most popular landscape plants. A great choice for any beginner gardener! Hostas grow best in moist, well-drained, highly organic soils with a pH between 5.5 and 7.5. Sandy loam is better than clay because it provides more aeration for the roots. Since it exhibits some sun tolerance, it can be located in partial sun to partial shade. * Golden foliage * Fragrant flowers * Superb grower |
| Grass - Variegated Feather Reed - Sale Price: $29.95 Grass - Variegated Feather Reed, Calamagrostis acutiflora 'Overdam', displays white and green leaves, and its smaller size makes it more refined than 'Karl Forester'. In some ways, it is even more pleasing than its big brother, Karl. It has medium blade width and flowers in June through July. It will most likely remain upright throughout the winter. Variegated Feather Reed does well in heavy clay soils, unlike many of the other ornamental grasses. It provides an excellent vertical accent for borders and for narrow spaces in the landscape. It is also effective in moist low spots or on pond/stream banks. With ample moisture it will do well in full sun, but likes a little shade in hot climates. Variegated Feather Reed works well as a specimen, or incorporated into a border and makes a good low screen, especially in somewhat shady areas. Use as a backdrop for roses and other perennials. It should be cut back in early spring, just before the new growth starts. Create your own dried arrangement, because this grass does make a wonderful display for your favorite vase or basket! * Variegated * Accent plant |
