Daylily - Siloam Peony Display
Daylily - Siloam Peony Display Hemerocallis Siloam Peony Display, Hemerocallis 'Siloam Peony Display', looks like a peony but lasts much longer than one. The plants are so packed with petals that they look like peonies that bloom in the summer! The fragrant blooms measure up to 6 inches across and have a rose blush band near the center of the flower. These huge fully double, ruffled, peach colored blooms flower in midsummer and then again later in the season. ‘Siloam Peony Display’ will bloom up to 16 hours for a full day, and being an extended bloomer, it produces a continuous big show in your garden with its wonderfully fragrant double flowers. Use this exciting daylily for color in shrub borders and in perennial beds. Once established, it can also be an excellent groundcover on slopes because it has roots that hold soil against erosion; attracts butterflies. ‘Siloam Peony Display’ makes a beautiful “peony looking” floral arrangement. Divide this daylily every 3-5 years, or when the number of flower buds and the size of bloom begin to decline. Deadheading spent buds and removing old scapes will improve overall look, but not improve plant performance. Individual flowers last only one day, but since each plant produces many buds, the total blooming time of a well-established clump may last more than a month. ‘Siloam Peony Display’ produces exotic blooms one after another for several weeks! * Peony-like flowers * Extended bloomer

| Hosta - Queen of the Seas - Sale Price: $39.95 Hosta Queen of the Seas, Hosta 'Queen of the Seas', lets you make a statement in your garden. This new dynamic, vibrant, blue hosta has a tall, upright form and forms a huge 48” clump! The 'Queen of the Seas' displays large, blue-green leaves that have wavy pie-crust margins, and are heart shaped. The near white flowers are produced in early to midsummer. Hosta 'Queen of the Seas' won the Best of Show award at the 1997 American Hosta Society national convention! In midsummer, the 'Queen of the Seas' clumps are topped with 3' spikes of lavender flowers. In warmer southern zones, the color may deepen to green in summer. Hostas grow best in moist, well-drained, highly organic soils with a pH between 5.5 and 7.5. Sandy loam is better than clay because it provides more aeration for the roots. It is best to keep areas around hostas clear of excess leaf debris to reduce the presence of slugs and snails. Plant this low care plant in an area that receives the right amount of light. The leaves need some morning sun to bring out the best coloration; too much sun will burn the leaves. 'Queen of the Seas' is most at home in shady, woodland settings and often works well as specimen or edging plants. If you want to add some architectural interest and color to your shade garden, be sure to include 'Queen of the Seas'! * Upright form * Wavy edged leaves * Heart shaped leaves |
| Rose - Red Meidiland® - Shrub - Sale Price: $71.35 Red Meidiland® Rose, Rosa 'MEIneble' (PP7,116), is covered by small, dense leaves of glossy dark green. It produces clusters of single red roses (to 3” diameter) with white centers and yellow stamens in a continuous bloom from May to frost. The flowers have no fragrance. The blooms are borne in sprays of seven to fifteen. The end of the season brings a special attraction as orange-red fruit persists along bronze winter stems. This rose has its own root. The advantage of own root roses is that once established they are very resilient. If winter's freezing breezes kill the top growth, the rose will grow back in the spring, and the recovered rose will look the same as the one you purchased. Red Meidiland is a low-growing shrub rose with a creeping habit that is often grown as a ground cover. It typically grows with arching or cascading stems to 1.5 to 2 feet tall and spreads to 4 to 5 feet wide. Meidiland roses are landscape and ground cover roses that come from Meidiland of France. A groundcover of dark green and sparkling with red flowers! |
