Grass - Cabaret Maiden - DetailsGrass - Cabaret Maiden - Sale Price: $28.95
The Grass 'Cabaret' Maiden, Miscanthus sinensis var. conden satus 'Cabaret', is one of the most outstanding new Miscanthus selections! This plant tends to be a bit floppy and graceless in flower, but the foliage effect is grand! This outstanding grass has wide, ribbon-like foliage with a creamy white center and dark green margins. The late season plumes emerge a wonderful coral pink to purple before changing to tan. Its relatively coarse texture can be used to stand it apart from other garden plants with finer foliage. This ornamental grass will require occasional maintenance and upkeep, and is best cleaned up in early spring, before it resumes active growth for the season. Grow in average to moist conditions; do not allow drying out. It is not particular as to soil type or pH. It is highly tolerant of urban pollution and will even thrive in inner city environments. ‘Cabaret' can be used in large containers but in cold areas the pots will need to be sunken during winter to protect the roots from freezing. * Variegated * Container plant * Pink/Purple flowers

Fern - Christmas - DetailsFern - Christmas - Sale Price: $42.75
The Christmas Fern, 'Polystichum acrostichoides', occurs in both dry and moist wooded slopes, moist banks and ravines. It typically grows in a fountain-like clump to 2' tall and features leathery, lance-shaped, evergreen (green at Christmas time as the common name suggests) fronds. The stocking shape of the pinnae also suggests Christmas! Crosiers (young fiddleheads) in spring are silvery and scaled.  Sori appear on the undersides of the pinnae only at the ends (last 1/3) of the fronds.   Christmas ferns are asymmetrical with a fine texture and have a moderately dense crown. The evergreen fronds provide good winter interest for the landscape. This fern does not spread but the clumps increase in size over time.  These plants serve as wonderful hosts for butterfly larvae and are great for erosion control. For best results, plant this fern in a garden in masses, or add to shade beds for year round color and contrasts with other perennials. This Christmas fern is popular because it is one of the few ferns that will stay green all winter long! * Evergreen * Fine textured * Non spreading

Oxalis - Strawberry - DetailsOxalis - Strawberry - Sale Price: $39.95
Oxalis Strawberry, Oxalis crassipes 'Rosea', is a popular shade plant (often called a shamrock) that just doesn't know when to quit blooming! Although it's a perennial, this plant blooms like an annual from late spring to early fall if kept moist.  Vivid green, clover-like leaves are dotted with bright pink flowers that butterflies adore and are nice in fresh bouquets. Oxalis 'Strawberry' forms a low mound that is the perfect size for edging or containers.  Like many oxalis, the leaves of this variety close up at night or when light levels are very low. It does not set viable seed, so there's no need to fear that it will become a nuisance in the garden.  This variety has been used in southern gardens for many years.  Oxalis plants are used in borders, beds, rock gardens and containers. Container grown plants should be kept just moist when dormant.  During the growing season, 'Strawberry' should have moderate watering. Does best in moist, rich soils and prefers soils with good drainage.  Being a prolific grower and bloomer with beautiful foliage and plenty of dainty blossoms, Oxalis 'Strawberry' can be grown as a houseplant or outdoors! * Prolific bloomer * House plant * Shade plant

Lambs Ear - Hummelo - DetailsLambs Ear - Hummelo - Sale Price: $39.95
Lambs Ear Hummelo, Stachys monnieri 'Hummelo', produces sturdy spikes of rosy lavender flowers that make an impressive display in mid-summer.  Unlike the more common types of stachys, which have soft silvery foliage, 'Hummelo' has glossy dark green foliage which remains attractive all season! The mounding foliage is heavily textured and this species forms rugged, large, rounded clumps of green, long and narrow, textured leaves.  It is lovely even when it's not in bloom! 'Hummelo' Lamb's Ear needs to be planted in full sun in a well-drained area.  It makes a unique and stunning addition to any sunny border! This plant will add texture and color in rock gardens and looks wonderful with Veronica ‘Goodness Grows’, Tradescantia ‘Concord Grape’ or other purple blooming perennials. The clumps will spread over time to form a dense ground cover. Leaves are evergreen in warm winter climates, but will not do well in harsh winters. A robust bloomer, this 'Hummelo' Lamb’s Ear is an outstanding garden performer! * Glossy foliage * Mounding habit * Robust
