Coreopsis - Moonbeam - Sale Price: $49.95 The Coreopsis ‘Moonbeam’, Coreopsis verticillata, is the most popular perennial in its family. ‘Moonbeam’ was named Perennial of the Year in 1995 and one can see why. With its clusters of light yellow, daisy-like blooms and its green airy fernlike foliage, ‘Moonbeam’ Coreopsis blooms from June through October and is mildew resistant. ‘Moonbeam’ stands at 24” and has a plant spread of 18-24”. ‘Moonbeam’ should be planted in full sun. It is drought-tolerant and tough but does need well-drained soil. It should be cut backing early and late summer to extend the bloom period. Hosta 'Little Sunspot' was developed by Briggs Nursery and is a sport of 'Little Aurora'.  The small gold leaves are boldly edged with .5 green margins and are slightly cupped.  In midsummer, white flowers with delicate pale lavender stripes, are produced on 16 tall scapes.   'Little Sunspot' is a low care perennial and is ideal for shady positions and is one of the most popular for landscapes.  It is best to keep areas around hostas clear of excess leaf debris to reduce the presence of slugs and snails.
