Peony - Karl Rosenfield - Sale Price: $71.35 The Peony 'Karl Rosenfield', 'Paeonia', a fall planted bulb, produces magnificent bright red flowers that are stunning in the garden and superb for cut flowers. During late spring-early summer, they fill the garden with fragrance. They also produce superb, long lasting cut flowers. They will bloom 3 to 4 weeks in late spring. The Peony tolerates some drought but thrives in moist, fertile, well-draining soil. If your soil is extremely acid, add some lime at planting time. Plant the roots with the eyes (buds) pointing up and place them 1 below the soil level. Peonies usually take a few years to establish and bloom heavily. For a tidy appearance, remove spent flowers after blooming. After a heavy frost, cut the foliage to the ground and remove from the area. Peonies do not need to be divided and can be left in place for years! Staking is recommended. Peonies attract butterflies and are great cut flowers and borders. They are also deer, rabbit, and squirrel resistant.

Lamium - Ghost - Sale Price: $49.95 Lamium Ghost, Lamium maculatum 'Ghost', has a large mound of all silver leaves, which becomes is a great backdrop for its attractive clusters of bright orchid purple flowers! Lamium 'Ghost', introduced by Intrinsic Perennial Gardens, stands 1' tall and the leaves are large, measuring 1.5 long compared to .5 - .75 long on the other varieties. Hosta - Sagae - Sale Price: $56.95 Hosta Sagae, Hosta 'Sagae', displays frosty green leaves with creamy yellow margins that form very large impressive clumps.  Hosta 'Sagae' is one of our favorites! With very heavy substance and good slug resistance, 'Sagae' provides pale lavender flowers on 34 scapes in mid-summer. 'Sagae' is considered to be the most dramatic variegated hosta ever introduced.  Plants mature into breath-taking specimens reaching 6' in width! Grass - Variegated Feather Reed - Sale Price: $29.95 Grass - Variegated Feather Reed, Calamagrostis acutiflora 'Overdam', displays white and green leaves, and its smaller size makes it more refined than 'Karl Forester'. In some ways, it is even more pleasing than its big brother, Karl. It has medium blade width and flowers in June through July. It will most likely remain upright throughout the winter. Variegated Feather Reed does well in heavy clay soils, unlike many of the other ornamental grasses. It provides an excellent vertical accent for borders and for narrow spaces in the landscape. It is also effective in moist low spots or on pond/stream banks. With ample moisture it will do well in full sun, but likes a little shade in hot climates. Variegated Feather Reed works well as a specimen, or incorporated into a border and makes a good low screen, especially in somewhat shady areas. Use as a backdrop for roses and other perennials.
