Lavender - English Munstead
The English Lavender Munstead, 'Lavandula angustifolia 'Munstead', is one of the Lavandula angustifolias or English lavenders.  This plant is a branched, woody, perennial lavender plant that grows much like a small evergreen shrub.  The narrow leaves are about 2 inches long and have a pleasing gray-green color. A fragrant and a robust lavender, 'Munstead' makes a great hedge.  English Lavender ‘Munstead’ blooms profusely in the spring, after which a good pruning will provide an attractive gray bush with highly aromatic leaves! ‘Munstead’ is able to tolerate heat better than most other lavenders.  For good drainage, add sand to the bottom of the hole, especially if planting it in clay soil.  In order to have a bushier and taller plant, it should be pruned back the first year. This compact variety of English lavender has lavender blue flowers and is not only great for landscapes, but the flowers have a rich sweet flavor and are especially good when used with sweets, such as in baking and even added to tea! Only the flower petals should be eaten.  Pull the flowers away from the little brown or green cap.  Lavender flowers can be fresh-frozen or dried. One of the most famous of all herbs, ‘Munstead’ is used most often in sachets in the home  and for perfumes! * Branched * Gray-green foliage * Fragrant

Daylily - Ruby Spider - DetailsDaylily - Ruby Spider - Sale Price: $39.95
Hemerocallis Ruby Spider, Hemerocallis 'Ruby Spider', is one daylily you just have to have in your garden!  It will be a show stopper with immense  9 flowers that are pure, saturated deep red with a golden yellow throat and mid ribs. Being a truly extraordinary form of daylily, its large petals are long and spoon-shaped.  Use 'Ruby Spider' as a marvelous specimen plant, or it can make a grand statement when planted in masses. 'Ruby Spider’ is a dormant tetraploid which means its foliage dies back in winter; this is an important consideration for northern gardeners since 'Ruby Spider' is a great choice for the far north! Individual flowers last only one day, but since each plant produces many buds, the total blooming time of a well-established clump may last more than a month.  Use this daylily for color in shrub borders and in perennial beds; attracts butterflies. Once established, the daylily can be an excellent groundcover on slopes because it has roots that hold soil against erosion.  Divide every 3-5 years, or when the number of flower buds and the size of bloom begin to decline.  'Ruby Spider' makes a beautiful floral arrangement, and is a terrific plant that any gardener can claim as “marvelous”! * Survives in far north * Stunning color * Hardy

Fern - Christmas - DetailsFern - Christmas - Sale Price: $42.75
The Christmas Fern, 'Polystichum acrostichoides', occurs in both dry and moist wooded slopes, moist banks and ravines. It typically grows in a fountain-like clump to 2' tall and features leathery, lance-shaped, evergreen (green at Christmas time as the common name suggests) fronds. The stocking shape of the pinnae also suggests Christmas! Crosiers (young fiddleheads) in spring are silvery and scaled.  Sori appear on the undersides of the pinnae only at the ends (last 1/3) of the fronds.   Christmas ferns are asymmetrical with a fine texture and have a moderately dense crown. The evergreen fronds provide good winter interest for the landscape. This fern does not spread but the clumps increase in size over time.  These plants serve as wonderful hosts for butterfly larvae and are great for erosion control. For best results, plant this fern in a garden in masses, or add to shade beds for year round color and contrasts with other perennials. This Christmas fern is popular because it is one of the few ferns that will stay green all winter long! * Evergreen * Fine textured * Non spreading

'Festiva Maxima' blooms in mid to late spring and has very large, colorful blooms that stand out in the spring garden.  This peony can handle dry to moist sites, and does best in full sun but can handle some light shade; prefers rich well drained soil.
