The Yellow Egg Plum, Prunus domestica 'Yellow Egg', is a European plum that produces large, golden yellow fruit. The Yellow Egg has juicy flesh and is very sweet. This plum is grown for the outstanding quality of the fruit. It is a freestone and is self pollinating. This Plum tree is a long-time favorite for dessert, cooking, and canning. Plums are quite adaptable to many soil types but they do best in well drained, fertile soils.
