Plum Tree - Golden Nectar Firm, sweet, amber flesh, with a small pit. Golden Nectar produces large yellow dessert plums with thin, waxy, amber skin. These plums are excellent both fresh and dried and a very popular dessert. Harvest is in August in Central California. The Golden Nectar plum is a good keeper. The tree is self-fertile, can grow in many soils, and can get 15-20 feet with a somewhat wider spread. The fruit ripens in late July. Golden Nectar requires 500 hours of chilling.
