Boxwood - Truedwarf - Sale Price: $51.35 The Boxwood Truedwarf, Buxus s. suff. 'Truedwarf', has dark green foliage that retains its color through cold winters. It is hardy and excellent as a low clipped hedge or border. This slow growing shrub has small leaves, a dense form and wonderful texture. It is a profusely branched evergreen shrub that can be used in landscaping, especially for hedges and foundation plantings. This is one of the most popular and most widely grown cultivar of all boxwoods. It is a low (often less than 3 ft.) compact shrub which rarely averages more than an inch of growth annually. Dogwood - Isanti - Sale Price: $99.95 The Dogwood 'Isanti', Cornus sericea 'Isanti', is a fine-twigged Dogwood with red bark. White flowers in late spring are followed by abundant white fruit. The mounding plants grow 4 to 5 feet tall and spreading 4 to 8 feet. Isanti is very adaptable and will thrive in sun or partial shade. The Isanti requires a soil with adequate moisture, otherwise adaptable as it tolerates wet sites. Isanti Dogwoods are slower growing and more compact than the species, making it more usable in the landscape than the species. This plant is known for its rapid growth, bright red stems, and fruit that attract wildlife. The best stem color is on new wood. After the 3rd year, prune back 30% of the stems each year in order to promote new wood growth to get the best red winter color. Zones 2-7.

The branches are slender, spiny, and small, and the leaves are roundly oval in a deep red to purple color. The small, yellow flowers borne beneath leaves, from April to May, are not showy. Bright red berries can be found along stems from late fall through winter. Ironically, this is never really considered a feature of this plant. Barberry bushes are best located in full sun. This plant is tolerant of many types of soil, but will not do well in wet to very moist soils. As name Barberry implies, this makes an excellent hedge or filler shrub.

Western Sand Cherry - Sale Price: $64.25 Western Sand Cherry, prunus besseyi, displays attractive, single, white flowers in May, and then it produces an abundance of 3/4 purple-black sweet fruits.  They can be eaten fresh, dried, or processed as jellies and pies. This hardy rounded shrub has silver-green foliage.  Plant the shrub where it will be in direct sunlight for most or all of the day. Well-drained soil is best, but isn't an absolute requirement, as sand cherry is very adaptable to poor soil. It grows 5-6 feet in height and width, forming a rounded shape, and makes a great shrub for farmstead windbreaks.
