Potentilla - Summer Dawn
Potentilla - Summer Dawn, Potentilla fruticosa 'Summer Dawn', is a lovely compact, upright bush with large primrose-yellow flowers that become slightly darker towards the center. The flowers are large in comparison to other Potentilla varieties, growing to about 1 1/2 to 2 inches in diameter. Summer Dawn flowers continually through the summer and works well in the garden landscape and as a border. This plant adapts well to harsh winter conditions that are long, dull and wet! Surviving in heavy clay, it does require moist well drained soil in full sun with partial shade. Summer Dawn is a dense shrub with grey green leaves that can be planted in early spring after the last frost. It is adaptable to moist or dry locations. It is not particular to soil type or pH levels. This plant excels in urban conditions. * Potentilla attracts butterflies. * Long Flowering Season! * Extra Large Flowers!
