Rose - Magic Meidiland - Shrub The Magic Meidiland Rose, Rosa 'Magic Meidiland' ('Meibonrib'), is a hardy shrub rose with persistent rose hips for winter interest. It can be used for a ground cover or landscaping. It has fragrant; fully double magenta-pink blooms in big clusters. 'Magic Meidiland' is an easy care plant, loved by birds, blooms the first year, is fragrant, and best of all, very disease resistant. 'Magic Meilland' offers showy fall and winter color due to its bright red and orange hips. This is your answer to a carefree landscape! In the spring, remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.
