Rose of Sharon - Blush Satin
Rose of Sharon - Blush Satin, Hibiscus syriacus 'Mathilde' (PP12,660), is an upright attractive plant that produces soft pink flowers with a prominent red eye, and it is long blooming. Blush Satin is a tremendous improvement in hardy Hibiscus.  It is a strong growing plant with lots of large, brightly colored blooms. A moderate grower, ‘Mathilde’ is also pollution-tolerant and prefers full sun and well-drained soil. This Blush Satin does best in full sun, but light shade is acceptable, especially in far southern or southwestern climates. It is very tolerant of heat and drought, but keep it well watered during growth. One's ability to shape Rose of Sharon also makes the shrub a prime candidate for hedges.   Being a profuse bloomer, it not only blooms late, but leafs out late, as well.  Blush Satin will add a subtle and lovely “blush” to your garden, especially when the other plants are beginning to fade. * Attractive shrub * Pollution tolerant * Lovely blooms
