Weigela - Spilled Wine
Weigela Spilled Wine, Weigela florida 'Bokraspiwi', has wavy leaves that have a rich, dark purple-red color that intensifies to near black in late summer; does not fade to green like some older selections!  This handsome deep purple foliage adds a delightful extra touch to this plant! There is a spring flush of hot pink magenta flowers, with additional flowering through summer and fall. The tubular flowers are adored by swarms of hummingbirds that enjoy the nectar of these bright, colorful flowers. This smart little shrub looks like an exotic special, but actually it's easy to grow, very dependable, and super long-blooming.  Prune to shape after flowering, and fertilize in early spring by applying a slow release fertilizer. Spilled Wine has a spreading habit and is a smaller plant--wider than it is tall.  This plant is beautiful as a specimen, in the mixed border, or foundation plantings; loves full sun, and is deer resistant. * Extremely adaptable * Spectacular colors

Mugho Pine - Pumilo - DetailsMugho Pine - Pumilo - Sale Price: $39.95
Mugho Pine - Pumilo, Pinus mugo 'Pumilio', is a popular dwarf conifer that is rugged, hardy and has dark green needles on dense branches; makes an ideal choice for xeriscaping or for the moisture-conserving landscape. Pumilo is a useful slow growing evergreen for rock gardens, mass plantings and in groupings; a great container plant too. In order for it to maintain its excellent form, texture, and color detail in the garden, this Dwarf Mugo Pine needs full sun and prefers dry to average moisture levels with very well-drained soil. It will die in standing water. Prune candles to keep tight and maintain a dense habit of growth. It tends to fill out right to the ground so doesn't necessarily require facer plants in front. Mugho Pine is highly tolerant of urban pollution and will even thrive in inner city environments. This is a rather low maintenance shrub and if pruning is necessary, it is recommended to only trim back the new growth of the current season, other than to remove any dieback. Mugho Pine grows at a slow rate, and under ideal conditions, can be expected to live for 50 years or more. * Evergreen! * Long-Lived! * Low maintenance!

Chokeberry - Black - DetailsChokeberry - Black - Sale Price: $64.20
Ornamental Shrub with Edible Fruit The Black Chokeberry is a deciduous shrub with seasonal color and edible fruit.  Plant one for definition in your garden or several as a low hedge.    The Chokeberry will provide you with exceptional spring and fall interest, but even when not in bloom or fruit this dainty shrub is sure to please you with its summer foliage.  Chokeberry leaves are only 1-3 inches long, but have a glossy surface that catches the light with amazing proficiency.  It will clearly stand out amid your other green plantings.    Your Black Chokeberry will also astound you with its impressive spring display of delicate spring flowers. The clusters of 5-peteled white blooms have subtle pink highlight and appear as tiny bridal bouquets amid the shiny green foliage.  The flowers are followed by blueberry-like fruit that dangles from the bush in early fall.   With the advent of autumn, your Chokeberry’s foliage will transform to its resplendent deep purples and reds, brightening even the darkest corner of your autumn landscape.    Your Black Chokeberry has an upright growing nature reaching a height of 6 feet with an equal spread.  It’s tolerant of almost any conditions, but will fruit best with a high sun location.  Wildlife tends to save the berries until other available food sources have been exhausted, but do appreciate them in the winter months when food is scarce.  The berries can be rather tart for humans (as the name implies), but are quite good when a sweetener is added and are known for making good preserves.   The Black Chokeberry is a lovely ornamental plant for almost any location.  Plant one today and begin reaping its unique benefits.   * Seasonal color * Edible fruit * Wildlife interest
