Yarrow - Terra Cotta
Yarrow - Terra Cotta The Yarrow ‘Terra Cotta’, Achillea 'Terra Cotta', is an upright salmon pink with flowers that age to rusty terracotta orange. The flowers bloom from June through September. With silvery foliage, it is beautiful when planted in front of dark foliaged perennials or mixed with blue flowers. The flower heads are 3-4” wide, with a spread of 18-24” and a height of 36”. ‘Terra Cotta’ Yarrow is excellent for cuttings, fresh or dried, in mass plantings or as a border plant. Terra Cotta is inclined to spread, so site this carefully. This Yarrow can tolerate poor soil conditions, but does best in lean, dry to medium wet, well-drained soil. (Avoid heavy clays and moist, rich, fertile soils.) Yarrow should be planted in full sun and is tolerant to hot humid summers. Remove faded flowers to encourage more growth and divide every 3-4 years. Use this plant in borders, containers, mass plantings, or in rock gardens. For an attraction to butterflies, deer and rabbit resistant, one can’t go wrong with this plant! This is an extremely popular plant, order yours now! * Drought Tolerant

  | Butterfly Plant - Cinderella - Sale Price: $39.95 Butterfly Plant Cinderella, Asclepias incarnata 'Cinderella', is a virtually hassle-free perennial, offering three months of vanilla-scented, rose-pink flowers in large, compact clusters from midsummer to early fall. Deadheading the flowers will stimulate another bloom cycle about a month after the first one. The flowers, which are heavily laden with nectar and pollen, are particularly attractive to hummingbirds, butterflies, bees, and other beneficial insects. Asclepias incarnata is easily grown in medium to wet soils in full sun. It is surprisingly tolerant of average well-drained soils in cultivation even though the species is native to swamps and wet meadows. Plants have deep taproots and are best left undisturbed once established. Foliage is slow to emerge in spring. Once established, Swamp Milkweed requires little care. Though it is perfectly cold-hardy in the north, mulching plants in winter will help prevent frost-heaving. In spring, trim back last year's growth and await the beautiful new foliage that will appear a bit later than other perennials. Following the fabulous flowers, typical milkweed seed pods develop which rupture to reveal seeds with long, silvery-white, silky hairs. * These are great to use in dried flower arrangements! * Deer resistant * Long bloom period |
