Black-eyed Susan - Herbstonne - Sale Price: $64.25 The Black-eyed Susan 'Herbstonne', Rudbeckia 'Herbstonne', is a summer blooming perennial with a unique green cone that is surrounded by yellow petals; this giant is the tallest of the Rudbeckia and will grow to 6 feet tall with a 3 foot spread. It does not need staking, however, you may want to stake it to make sure the flowers do not break at their peak performance. This plant can be a real eye catcher. Plant in the back of the border with buddleias, Joe Pye Weed, and ornamental grasses. The flowers of ‘Bonanza’ are mauve-blue with pale yellow anthers and are 3 in size.  Do not underestimate the flower power of this variety because of the smaller flower size!
