  False Cypress - Tempelhof Hinoki The Tempelhof Compact Hinoki Cypress, 'Chamaecyparis obtusa 'Tempelhof', is a vigorous grower, producing coarse foliage. It endures light shade well and its body will be noticeable thicker in full sun. The Hinoki Cypress has a pyramidal form with a loose habit. The golden-yellow outer foliage contrasts with the darker green inner foliage. This is an evergreen plant that is resistant to deer and rabbits. This beautiful small shrub is excellent for a foundation planting or placed front crawl spaces or utility boxes. This plant will provide an excellent background for perennials and be used as a border or hedge. The scale-like leaves remain green during the winter.
